Ingredients
  

  • 400 gram grape leaves
  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 glass olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon currants
  • 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
  • 1 tablespoon granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon balck pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 400 gram frozen cherries
  • 2 cups cherry juice
  • salt

Instructions
 

  • Soak the grape leaves in hot water, remove the salt and boil them to keep them fresh.
  • Wash and drain the rice.
  • Heat the olive oil in the pan. Add the pine nuts and fry a little.
  • Add the finely chopped onion and continue frying. When the onions soften, add the rice and fry a little.
  • Add the soaked and softened currants, pomegranate syrup, black pepper, salt, cinnamon and dried mint and mix.
  • Finally, add the cherry juice and sugar and let it boil.
  • Add the 200 gram cherries and take off the oven.
  • Put mortar and one cherry on the grape leaves, wrap them in finger thickness.
  • When placing the wraps in the pot, sprinkle the cherries you separated between them.
  • Add some cherries to it.
  • After adding some salt and olive oil, add enough water to reach the level of the wraps.
  • Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 40 minutes.0
